Everything you need to know about Divinum — the dark fantasy metroidvania action RPG a decade in the making.
Divinum is an action-adventure game that blends stylish, expressive combat with rewarding exploration. Developed and published by independent studio Sigil Games, the game was released on August 28, 2026, after nearly a decade in development.
An outside threat reaches your homeland — a quiet northern island. You play as Fjør, a young warrior among those born under the Fate of the Guardian, blessed with exceptional combat prowess. Walking the path of a Warden, explore the island above and below the surface: forgotten caves and ominous forests, gloomy catacombs and sacred ruins.
Inspired by the best of the hack-and-slash genre, Divinum features intricate combat with aerial juggling, two-weapon combos, parries, and dodges. The Rune system provides meaningful build customization — no boring "+5% damage" items here. Every Rune fundamentally changes how you play.
Aerial juggling, two distinct primary weapons, special skills, quick dodges, blocks, and parries. Inspired by the best of hack-and-slash.
Find Runes that meaningfully change how you fight. No boring percentage bonuses — each Rune can completely alter your approach to battle.
Explore from labyrinthine caverns to ancient city ruins. Each region is filled with secrets, combat trials, and collectibles to discover.
Multiple skill trees connected to deities worshipped on the island. Each has its own strengths, playstyle, and unique combat abilities.
Dangerous challenge modes across three tiers (Awakening, Perseverance, Overcoming). Conquer them all for generous rewards and rare Runes.
Beautifully crafted hand-drawn pixel graphics in a dark fantasy setting. Every frame is meticulously animated for maximum visual impact.
Sigil Games is an independent game development studio and the sole developer and publisher of Divinum. The game was originally launched as a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo by developer Vladislav Zyuzyakov, and has been in active development for approximately 10 years.
Upon release, the developer shared: "Divinum has finally launched! I can't thank you enough for your incredible support throughout these 10 years since the game's development began." The long development cycle is evident in the game's polish, depth of combat mechanics, and attention to detail in every region.
