1. How Ancestor Spirits Work
Ancestor Spirits are Divinum's progression system. There are 7 spirits scattered across the 7 regions (one per region), each tied to a deity worshipped on the island. Collecting a spirit grants skill points that you invest in that deity's skill tree, providing passive bonuses and new combat abilities.
Each spirit is found in that region's most hidden area — you'll need all traversal abilities to collect every spirit. The 7 spirits correspond to 4 main skill trees (some trees are unlocked by multiple spirits).
Key Tip: You can respec your skill points at any time (no cost). Experiment freely with different builds. If a skill doesn't feel right, refund it and try something else. The only restriction is that you must unlock prerequisite skills before investing in higher-tier skills.
2. Warrior Spirit Tree (Offense)
Unlocked by: Spirits from Regions 1, 4 · Focus: Raw damage, parry combat, weapon proficiency
The Warrior tree is for players who want to maximize damage output and excel at parry-based combat.
Key Skills
- Iron Will (Tier 1): Increases parry window by 50%. The single most valuable skill in the game for new players. Makes parrying significantly easier. Invest in this first.
- Riposte (Tier 1): After a successful parry, pressing attack unleashes a powerful counter-attack that deals 200% weapon damage. Essential for parry-focused builds.
- Combo Damage (Tier 2): Each consecutive hit in a combo deals 2% increased damage, stacking up to 20%. Rewards long combos and weapon-switch play.
- Heavy Mastery (Tier 2): Heavy attacks deal 25% more damage and have 15% shorter recovery. Makes the heavy weapon significantly more viable.
- Berserker (Tier 3): When below 30% health, all damage is increased by 40%. High-risk, high-reward. Pairs perfectly with glass-cannon builds.

6. Recommended Investment Order
For a balanced, effective build, invest in this order:
- Iron Will (Warrior, Tier 1): Makes parrying easier — the most impactful early-game skill.
- Vampiric Riposte (Sage, Tier 1): Healing on parry counters provides survivability.
- Dodge I-Frames (Dancer, Tier 1): More forgiving dodging reduces damage taken.
- Combo Damage (Warrior, Tier 2): Rewards the long combos you're now capable of.
- Critical Chance (Shadow, Tier 1): Once you reach Region 7, grab this for a universal damage boost.
- Specialize: After these core skills, invest in the tree that matches your preferred build (Warrior for damage, Sage for survival, Dancer for aerial, Shadow for crits).
Note: Spirit locations and skill tree effects are based on the launch version of Divinum. Additional spirits or skill tree changes may be added in post-launch updates. The respec feature means you can always adapt to changes.
